West Valley College Priorities

Make a Difference at West Valley College.

Founded in 1963, West Valley College has a rich history of success. We pride ourselves in helping students create a future for themselves so they can contribute to a world that needs their talents, drive and enthusiasm.

Join me in supporting our students

When I walk our beautiful campus daily, I am reminded of the impact West Valley College makes in students’ lives. We strive to be a premier educational destination. In addition to the college’s excellent programs, we provide students with financial support, food and housing assistance, personal counseling, and academic guidance. We champion the whole student, removing barriers and obstacles, so they may fully realize their educational potential and success.

Education creates lasting change in students' lives and in the lives of their families. I welcome you to join us, to explore how you might contribute to the success of so many West Valley students. I hope you will be as moved as I have been in witnessing the power of education to change lives.

Expand Access to Education

Donations to remove financial barriers for students can open a world of academic and career opportunity. Gifts of any size help us provide students with the flexible financial support they need to worry less about money and focus more on their future. Consider making a gift to establish a scholarship or donate to provide support for basic needs and emergency assistance. Your gift could provide critical resources for students who need access to technology, help with food or housing insecurity, or free mental health support.

Scale Student Success Programs

Years of research indicates that students who participate in student success programs have higher degree completion rates than their non-participating peers. Programs like EOPS, UMOJA, and Puente are designed to provide connection, a sense of belonging, academic, and career guidance while building a foundation for future success. Donations to these programs in our Student Services division can help us better serve our low-income, first-generation, disabled, veteran, single parent and other under-resourced student populations.

Support Academic Excellence and Career Mobility

West Valley College offers pathways to meaningful careers in a wide range of academic disciplines including liberal arts, physical and health sciences, business, engineering and education. Your donation can help us support our current offerings or help us launch new cutting-edge curriculum in high-demand fields. Make a gift to a particular area of study or to an Academic Dean's Fund and help us set students up for a lifetime of career satisfaction and financial stability.

Create a Campus for 21st Century Learning

Thanks to the generous voters in our community, our state-of-the-art campus is home to several bond-funded capital projects. From a state-of-the-art planetarium to a new Visual Arts Gallery to the soon-to-be built Learning Resource Center, West Valley College facilities offer the perfect setting for academic reflection and innovation. Donors can partner with us on a variety of naming opportunities ranging from buildings to plazas to new athletic complexes.

Invest in Team Spirit

A robust athletics program can serve as a significant driver of enrollment, sometimes attracting students who might not otherwise pursue higher education. As one of our most ethnically diverse programs, our 12 teams bring together students from all backgrounds who share common goals: to obtain an education, play the game they love, and sharpen life skills. Donations help us run our highly-respected, successful athletics program - a source of pride for our surrounding community.
