West Valley-Mission Retirees Scholarship

Representing West Valley-Mission Community College District retirees, Doug Campbell, Carol Toppel, and Jim Wilczak established this scholarship to support students whose families have little or no experience navigating the higher education system in the United States.

First-generation college graduates can dramatically alter the trajectory of their family by boosting socioeconomic status and serving as an inspiration and resource for future generations. Based on their own experiences as first-generation college graduates, Jim, Carol, and Doug understood that this scholarship holds tremendous potential to uplift entire families and communities.
