Established in 2014 to provide one scholarship for a woman pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and one scholarship for a student seeking additional training or certification at West Valley College to re-enter the workforce.
The Saratoga Foothill Club building was designed by famed architect Julia Morgan in 1914. It has been a women's club for over 100 years with the purpose of fostering intellectual and civic activities within the Club and the community at large, promoting a spirit of friendliness among its members and acting as stewards of the historic Julia Morgan-designed clubhouse.
The Saratoga Foothill Club has a long history of philanthropy in the Saratoga area, creating a respectful local Memorial Day tribute for our veterans, providing food boxes for deserving senior citizens, and contributing to food pantries to feed local families.
We have given scholarships to local high students for over 30 years, and we are now very pleased to offer scholarships to students at West Valley College (WVC).
As we are a women's club, one of our WVC scholarships is for a woman pursuing a career in STEM.
It is the joy of every member of the Saratoga Foothill Club to help students of all ages realize their dreams.
Over 100 years ago, members of our club put their trust in Julia Morgan, a young architect working in a field that was not welcoming to women at that time. Our scholarship program enables us to provide support to students of today.
It is a privilege to come together as a group to help fulfill the educational dreams of deserving students.
