About this Endowment

Established in 1978 to provide scholarships and celebrate outstanding Mission College and West Valley College students from various art disciplines including visual, performing, and literary arts.

Olympiad of the Arts scholarships are awarded to Mission and West Valley College students from across various disciplines including visual, performing, and literary arts.

The arts represent a significant and important segment of college curriculum and experiences. Campus art shows, presentations, concerts, recitals, and competitions highlight the creative accomplishments of students.

Visual arts include drawing, painting, sculpting, ceramics, photography, architecture, fashion design, and electronic arts. Literary arts include creative writing and poetry while performing arts encompass dance, music, and theater.

The Olympiad of the Arts Scholarship Endowment is awarded on the basis of accomplishment - a wonderful demonstration of students' outstanding artistic abilities and achievements during their time at Mission and West Valley Colleges.
