Diana Ghassemi was a supportive wife, loving mother and grandmother, and dedicated
homemaker who lived in Saratoga for 40 years. When her kids were teenagers, she enrolled
in West Valley College to pursue paralegal studies.
Diana was a rebel with a crackerjack sense of humor and a big heart. She believed
that rules (particularly those that were unfair) were meant to be broken, and she
passed that fighting spirit along to her children. She also believed in service to
others. She would do anything to help anyone, and she did. Diana was a frequent donor
to charitable causes and volunteered her time in the Saratoga community.
Diana passed away in 2025 at the age of 75. Consistent with her fighting spirit, she
fought until the end while battling multiple health issues. Diana lived in the now,
and she never gave up.
The Ghassemi family has established this scholarship to benefit students pursuing
law or paralegal studies in loving memory of Diana.
